William Candela, Sr.

Entered into heaven, Oct. 25 2022, William Candela, Sr. of East Haven; husband of the late Stella  Mazziotti Candela; father of James (Patricia) Candela, the late Rocco and William Candela , Jr.; brother of Rocco ( Anne) Candela, Angelina Esposito, Loretta Piasecki, the late Theresa Casillo, Rita Rascati, Joseph and Edward Candela; grandfather of  Adrienne and Danielle and the late William;  also survived by great-grandsons Troy, Sonny and Michael and many loving nieces and nephews; born Aug. 9, 1928, son of the late Rocco and Anna Gambardella Candela. Bill worked as an electrician for  many years  with the  IBEW Local 90. He was a long time communicant of St. Michael’s Church.

Family and friends may call Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME 592 Chapel St.  Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Michael ‘s Church 29 Wooster Pl.
