Virginia (Berardesca) Zona

Entered into rest, June 5, 2023, Virginia Berardesca Zona, 98, of Hamden; wife of the late Peter Zona; mother of Jack Zona, Camille (Michael) DelGobbo and the late Gail Zona; also survived by 4 grandchildren Michele(Jim), Jaclyn (Jeffrey), Peter and Kristen (Kevin) and 6 great-grandchildren Mia, Ethan, Justin, Ava, Madelynn and Hunter; predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Virginia was born April 24, 1925, daughter of the late Umberto and Natalina Pinto Berardesca.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Church New Haven Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. There are no calling hours. in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (st.jude.org).  MARESCA & SONS Funeral Home 592 Chapel St. New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
