On January 21st. 2023, Rita L. Siclari Walker, 87 of Hamden, passed away peacefully. Rita is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Robert A. Walker, two devoted sons, Robert A.Walker, Jr. (Chan Phongchaleune) and John Michael Walker, four grandchildren, John Ryan Walker, Timothy Lawrence Walker, Arianna Walker, Saiane Walker, a great grand daughter and a brother John (Gail) Siclari. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceaed by siblings Pasquale Siclari, Louis Siclari, Lillian Cerrone and Mary Votto.; born on November 5,1935 in New Haven to her loving parents the late John and Margaret Morgillo Siclari. Rita graduated from Nathan Hale School. She then attended and graduated from Lauralton Hall of Milford,CT. At Lauralton Hall, Rita was captain of her varsity basketball team. and later attended Albertus Magnus College. Rita worked at Southern New England Telephone. She taught CCD to children at Blessed Sacrament Church for over 20 years. Rita was a member and officer of The New Haven Women's Club, a member of Alliance Francaise de New Haven. and belonged to The Women's Do Nothing Club.
Family and friends may call at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME 592 Chapel St. Wednesday from 4 p.m.to 7 p.m. and are invited to go DIRECTLY to St. Paul VI Parish at Blessed Sacrament Church 321 Circular Ave. in Hamden to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
