Regina Deveau Vitiello, 76, of Delray Beach, Florida, born in New Haven and formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023 in Boca Raton, FL; born Dec. 20, 1946 daughter of the late Herbert and Katherine Dwyer Deveau. She is survived by sons Scott J Vitiello and his wife, Doreen, grandson Andrew and Jason Vitiello his wife,Jennifer and a motherly figure to her beloved niece Lisa Vitiello and her children Koby Sisel and Danielle Garcia; predeceased by her son Paul M Vitiello, grandson Aidan W. and brother Timothy J. Deveau
During Regina’s youth, she attended Wilbur Cross High School and Post Community College. During High School, she was involved in the school's water ballet club and, shortly after, became a professional water skier and was a part of a traveling water skiing show. Regina had a career as a bookkeeper at many companies throughout her life and also managed Cindy-Ellen’s Cafe in Branford. She then worked at U.S Surgical for many years and then retired and moved to Florida.
She had a unconditional love for her many “fur” babies as well as her passion for bird watching. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, calligraphy, and attending to her plants. Friends and family close to her knew how strong of a woman she was as she was always there to help a loved one when they needed it most. Her loss is unmeasurable and will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Friends may call at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Chapel St New Haven Friday from 10 to 11 a.m followed by services at 11 a.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
