Peter D. Bavolack
Obituary
Peter D. Bavolack, born on May 7, 1929 passed away peacefully at Branford Hill Health Care Center on March 22, 2022, just shy of his 93rd birthday. Peter was born in Hazelton Pennsylvania to Mary and Daniel Bavolack and later moved to Connecticut.
Peter was Honorably Discharged as a Corporal in the US Army on March 5, 1951 and received the Army of Occupation Medal in Germany. Upon his discharge he returned to Connecticut where he soon married the late Marie Bavolack (Sessa), began his career in the accounting industry and shared in the raising of their three children, Mark P. Bavolack, Matthew S. Bavolack and Melena B. Burkell.
Peter was known by many as the dapper man and always dressed for the occasion. Besides his love for his children, Peter had a passion for cooking, college basketball, the New York Giants and was a lector the St Joan of Arc Parish in Hamden CT.
His three grandchildren, Allison, Gregory and Noah will always remember him for his great bear hugs, contagious smile and day old fruit salad.
Peter is also survived by his sister Kathryn Brewer and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 10:30 am, on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Beaverdale Memorial Park, Pine Rock Ave., Hamden, CT
