Martha "Marty", "Dolly", Esposito DePalma, 100 , passed away on July 7, 2021; She was the wife of the late John DePalma. Born Jan. 1, 1921 in New Haven daughter of the late Vincenzo and Catherine Salzillo Esposito. Martha lived most of her life on Poole Road in North Haven until 2014 when she moved in with her granddaughter, Dawn Pearson (Kevin Saunders) in Northford. Martha was the oldest of 10 children. She was predeceased by her brothers Ralph, Dominic, John, James, Clement, and Andrew, and her sisters Mary Acampora and Lucille Carrera.
. She leaves behind her daughter, Patricia (Dale) Douglas of Hamden, her son, Anthony (Anne) DePalma of Minnesota, her granddaughter, Dawn Pearson (Kevin Saunders) of Northford, her granddaughter, Natalie DePalma of Minnesota, her grandsons Charles (Bonnie) DePalma of Illinois, Al (Tiffani) DePalma of Missouri and her granddaughters, Lisa Douglas of Texas and Dawn Douglas of New York. She also leaves behind her youngest brother Lawrence (Thea) Esposito and her sister-in-law, Marie Esposito both of North Haven and many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Martha worked as a nursing assistant on Dana 3 at Yale New Haven Hospital for 27 years retiring in 1987. She loved traveling and cooking with her husband.
Martha was a longtime parishioner and women's club member of St. Frances Cabrini in North Haven. She belonged to the Red Hat Society of North Haven. and loved spending many days at Memory Lane in Wallingford.
Friends may call at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME 592 Chapel St. on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity at St Frances Cabrini Church 57 Pond Hill Rd. North Haven to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10 a.m. Entombment in St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum., West Haven.
