Florentino Baez

Entered into rest at home, July 28, 2023, Florentino Baez, 88, of New Haven. He was born in Catano Puerto Rico May 3, 1935, son of the late Angelito Baez and Agapita Ortega.                         

He is survived by his children Rafael, William, Jose, Jorge, Carmen, Gladys, Magda, Lucy, Janet, Madeline.  He also leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was predeceased by sons Florentino and Alberto, several brothers and sisters and his wife Antonia Diaz.

Florentino will be remembered as a great father and grandfather and was a strong and beautiful man.

"One quiet night the angels can and took you far away, but in the stillness of the night I could almost hear him say:      Dear Children, grandchildren, family and friends, I will miss you.

You mean so much to me, but Jesus called me to His side in Heaven, I will be.   A place of God's great beauty. No tears or earthly cares. Only peace and joy forever. and love beyond compared.

So, remember all the good times. Don't think about the sad... Treasure all the special moments through the years we've always had.  And if you trust in Jesus, I can promise this and more...

You will get a hug from me someday in Heaven as I greet you at Heaven's door."

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.  followed by services at noon.   Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery
