Elda J. (Capasso) Gallo

Elda J. Capasso Gallo, 91, entered into rest, peacefully with her family by her side on Aug. 20, 2023; formerly of North Haven; wife of the late James Gallo; beloved mother of Cheryl Marchese, Gina Gallo and Nadine Vozza; also survived by granddaughters Alyssa and Erica; predeceased by her brother Louis Capasso; She was born July 29, 1932, daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Bracciocurti Capasso.  Elda spent many wonderful years working at North Haven H.S. In her free time, she enjoyed visiting Savin Rock and taking trips to the casinos with her sister-in-law Louise. She was passionate about creating delicious homemade meals nourishing family and friends and also her kitties. She also enjoyed spending time with her lifelong friends at the beach cabana. Anyone who knew Elda knew her family were the stars in her eyes and filled her with pride and joy. She will be missed by all.

Family and friends may call at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME 592 Chapel St. Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church North Haven at 1 p.m. Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
