David Frederick Austin of Oxford, CT, died on November 29, 2021, at age 59. Born on July 26, 1962 in New York City, he was raised in Pearl River, NY, and attended Pearl River High School and St. Joseph’s Regional High School. He later went on to study architecture at Roger Williams University, where he developed his passion for drawing and carpentry.
Over the years, Dave lived in Bristol, RI, the Hudson Valley, and Oxford, CT. He worked as a carpenter, and was an accomplished cook, artist and cat-dad. He was known for his good nature and sense of humor and will be deeply missed by many.
Dave is survived by his sister Kathryn Masters of Saugerties, NY, nephews Wesley and David Masters of New York City, and niece Claire Masters of New Haven, CT. He is predeceased by his sister Lisa Austin Mueller and parents Henry and Mary Austin.
