Charles V. Scalesse

Charles "Chuck" Scalesse, 74, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Dec. 21, 2022. Born in New Haven on Nov. 7, 1948, he was the husband of Patricia  Hitchko Scalesse and son of the late  Vincent and Mary Balsamini Scalesse. For over 40 years, he taught middle school in East Haven and Monroe. In addition, for nearly 30 years, he was a real estate agent and broker working for Beazley and Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. Chuck loved playing golf at Wallingford Country Club, where he was a member for 25 years. He also loved riding his bike along the shoreline. His favorite times were spent with his son, daughter, and three amazing grandchildren. Chuck is survived by his sister Marilyn Gannon and husband Kevin Gannon, his son Charles Jr. and fiancé Vicky Lau, daughter Kristin Yorke and husband Jeremy Yorke, their children Jack, Natalie, and Isla, and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be on Friday Dec. 23, from  9 a.m  to 10:30 a.m at  MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME 592 Chapel St.  followed by a  Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Pietreclina Parish at St. Vincent de Paul Church, East Haven. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The Miracle League of Connecticut. (miracleleaguect.org).
