Ann Sarno Hamilton, 85 of East Haven, entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born March 7, 1938, daughter of the late Andrew and Nancy Candido Sarno. She was the wife of the late Thomas Hamilton to whom she was married to for 50 years.
Ann worked for the East Haven Board of Education until her retirement. She was a devout Catholic and longtime communicant of St. Clare Church, taught CCD, was a member of the ladies guild and volunteered at the annual carnival. She was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector for both St. Clare and St. Bernadette Parishes. A recipient of The Saint Joseph's Medal, Ann's daily routine consisted of mass, bible study and exercise, keeping her young at heart. Ann loved her family; her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who meant the world to her.
She was a selfless woman who put others before herself and left an impact on everyone she met. She never forgot birthdays, anniversaries or special occasions.
Ann is survived by her children; Nancy A. Hamilton of North Branford, Thomas (Josephine) Hamilton of East Haven, Maria (Edward) Gargano of North Haven and Michael (Alissa) Hamilton of East Haven, grandchildren; Jennifer (Richard) Kaplan, Colton (Megan) Lewin, Jessica (Cesare) Tagliamonte, Andrew (Diana) Hamilton, Edward Jr, Joseph and Matthew Gargano, Alanna and Logan Hamilton, great grandchildren Aniello Tagliamonte and Jackson Kaplan.

Family and friend may call at MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME 592 Chapel St. Monday from 4 p,m. to 8 p.m. and are invited go directly to St. Bernadette Church 387 Townsend Ave. to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment in East Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital (st.jude.org).
