Angelo Frischetti of Woodbridge, Connecticut passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on August 5, 2023. He was 76 years old. Angelo was the beloved husband of Joanne (Musco) Frischetti for 49 years, devoted father to Marissa (John) Westbrook and Jason Frischetti, and loving pop-pop to grandchildren Andrew, Ryan and Anna. He is also survived by his brother Pasquale (Christine) Frisketti .
Angelo was born on September 17, 1946 in New Haven, CT to Angelo Frisketti and Anna (Gambardella) Frisketti. He was an English teacher in the East Haven school system for 35 years, where he blended literature, music and culture to inspire his students. He attended SCSU where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Master’s degrees in English Literature and Counseling. Angelo was a long-time local musician, playing in bands including The Long Island Sounds and Northern Lights. He was also an avid reader, and could always be found with a piece of literature in his hands. But what brought Angelo the most joy was spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren) and friends, listening to music, and relaxing with his wife at his cottage on Cape Cod.
Friends and family may gather on Wednesday August 9th at Maresca & Sons Funeral Home 592 Chapel St. New Haven from 4 p.m.to 6 p.m. and are invited to go directly to church for A Mass of Christian Burial Thursday August 10th. at 10 am in Our Lady of Assumption Church 81 Center Rd. in Woodbridge, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Association to Preserve Cape Cod. (apcc.org)
